Plain English Summary: We're providing you with AI tools to generate family law documents faster. We protect your data, don't train AI models on it, and expect you to use our service responsibly. If there's a dispute, we'll resolve it through arbitration in Texas.

Acceptance of Terms

By using JDBOT Family Law AI Assistant ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use our service.

Your Data and Privacy

Data Protection

  • Limited Storage: We keep your data for a maximum of 30 days for debugging and service improvement purposes only.
  • No AI Training: We will never use your documents or data to train our AI models or anyone else's models.
  • Complete Confidentiality: We will not share, sell, or disclose your data to any third party for any reason.
  • Secure Processing: Your documents are processed securely and deleted according to our retention policy.

AI Vendor Transparency

We use third-party AI services to power our document analysis. The specific AI vendor and model currently in use are disclosed in the footer of each page of our service.

Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

Our service is designed to help legal professionals generate family law documents more efficiently. You may use the service for legitimate legal document preparation and case management.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service for any purpose that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be:

  • Abhorrent, harmful, or contrary to public policy
  • Likely to subject you, us, our users, clients, or shareholders to ridicule or legal liability
  • Illegal under applicable law
  • In violation of professional ethics rules
  • To harass, threaten, or intimidate others

Intellectual Property

JDBOT is a proprietary system owned by us. It is not "free," "open source," or part of the public domain. Your use is strictly limited to using our services as intended - generating legal documents efficiently.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer our software.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the documents you upload and the documents we generate for you. However, you grant us a limited license to process your content to provide our services.

Payment and Billing

Fees

Service fees are charged according to your selected plan. All fees are non-refundable except for billing errors as determined by our records.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. There are no minimum commitments or cancellation fees. Your service will continue until the end of your current billing period.

Payment Processing

We use third-party payment processors. You agree to their terms of service for payment processing.

Service Availability and Disclaimers

Service Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms.

No Legal Advice

Our service generates documents based on your input but does not provide legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents and ensuring their accuracy and appropriateness for your specific situation.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service downtime.

Professional Responsibility

As a legal professional, you remain responsible for:

  • Reviewing and verifying all generated documents
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable rules of professional conduct
  • Maintaining attorney-client privilege and confidentiality
  • Meeting all filing deadlines and court requirements

Relationship

We are not your partners, and we are not in a joint venture together. We provide services, and you use services. That's the extent of our relationship. You are an independent user of our platform.

Dispute Resolution

Arbitration

All disputes arising from or relating to this agreement must be resolved through binding arbitration. We will first attempt to agree on an arbitrator. If we cannot agree, we will select and pay for the arbitrator.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of Texas.

Jurisdiction

Any legal proceedings must be brought in the state district courts of Collin County, Texas. By using our service, you agree not to remove any case to another court system, including U.S. Federal Courts.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through our service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of our service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
